SPCA Kota Kinabalu, located in the city of Kota Kinabalu on the north-western shore of the island of Borneo, Sabah, East Malaysia is a non-profit organisation created to promote the humane treatment of dogs, cats, birds, fish, and other animals.
In co-operation with the Animal Control of the City of Kota Kinabalu and local veterinarians, SPCA Kota Kinabalu seeks to improve living conditions for animals. Whether a pet or a stray, most animals in Sabah suffer from a lack of care and nourishment.
Our Society encourages and facilitates animal adoptions and spay and neuter programs. Raising public awareness regarding animal care and humane treatment laws, we hopes to make life better for animals and humans alike.
Our aim is to promote responsible pet ownership. We encourage animal owners to register their pets with tags at the City council animal control office. Appropriate means of identification enable lost animals to be returned home much more quickly.
